How To Become Young Banner

Pablo Picasso

Imagine that you’re currently twenty-five, forty, or going on seventy-five and that you can see a future of increased well-being, lots of energy and enthusiasm for new projects, and the most happiness you’ve ever known. Wouldn’t that be a nice change from the gloomy expectations that are popular for anyone over 40? What if, like Pablo Picasso so aptly stated, we are in the process of becoming young?

A future like that is possible. In fact, it’s more than possible for you just like it has been for me.

Meet Tara

I’m Tara

My name means guiding star in Sanskrit, which might be one reason I’m still sharing the wisdom that’s flowed to me from so many great teachers, mentors and friends over many, many decades. I’m a certified Ayurveda Wellness Coach, a 30-year yoga teacher, a more than 50-year meditator and devotee, and a lifelong advocate of integrative health and wellness practices. I’m also the best-selling author of more than 65 romance novels, the founder of a successful marketing business for technology companies, a still-madly-in-love wife of over 40 years, and an 81-year-old woman.

I’ve started How to Become Young as a first-step guide to dynamic, joyous aging. Later there may be classes and/or a book, but, for now, this spot is packed with tips and advice on all aspects of wellness – body, mind and emotions, spirit and soul. The great science of Ayurveda tells us that without balance in all these areas, we can’t be truly healthy, and seeking that balance is a day-by-day project.

Advice and Chat

Welcome. No matter how young or old you are, I hope you find something useful here. After all, to paraphrase Teddy Roosevelt, with old age, as with most things, it’s best to start young. And even if you haven’t started young, by virtue of your interest, this is the perfect time to begin.

I’ve divided the content into Body, Mind and Spirit even though you already know that what happens in our mind and our connection to Spirit directly impacts our physical being, and vice versa. Each post is “tagged”  to highlight the specific topics covered.

If you haven’t spent much time on self-care, wellness or anti-aging, look for the posts tagged Start. These will give you foundational practices to try out and incorporate. For those with some or lots of experience in wellness and spiritual practices, feel free to browse to your heart’s content.

Have fun, and be sure to visit frequently as new content is being added weekly. Remember to follow the “tags” to topics that interest you.
